BEHIND THE CAMERA
My name is Matt and can I say first off WHAT AN HONOR you are here checking out my work as a Nashville wedding photographer! It means the world and I would sincerely love to meet you two :)
This journey started roughly back in 2017, the year before I was going to graduate high school. My parents gifted me a camera and not long after that I started taking pictures for seniors who were my friends. It didn't take long to become known as the "camera" guy in school. The summer after I graduated high school I photographed my first wedding and fell in love with what I do. There is no way to explain the love I have for documenting pure love and emotion on a wedding day and getting to see my friends up close experience their first day of marriage.
After growing my business in Iowa, I decided to move to Nashville in 2021 to pursue my photography even more. Shortly after moving here, I found my forever love, Mariah on Hinge and proposed to her 11/23/22 in downtown Nashville with family and friends present. Both sharing a love for traveling, we are eloping in Yosemite National park on 9/20/23 and couldn't be more excited!

One of the most important things I strive to focus on is documenting your love exactly the way it is. It's not only what you deserve but it's what I want you to look back on in years to come. I want your photos to be true to you without it feeling posed or awkward. This is where creating a connection and friendship is so important to me! Rather a stranger taking your photos, it's someone you know on a personal level.

When you receive your wedding gallery, I want it to be FULL of images that you don't even know were taken. The in-between moments like the hugs, tears, laughs, smiles, all of it. These are the moments where emotions are high and you were in the moment. To me, these are the photographs that are the MOST important to capture on your day besides the posed shots such as group and family photos.

I'm sure by now you have been told how fast your wedding day is going to go by and it's true! One moment you'll be getting ready with your girls and the next you'll be waking up the next morning as newlyweds. I will always take every opportunity to stop what we're doing and tell you to take in the moment. I don't want the entire day to feel like a photoshoot because that's just not fun at all! Your wedding day is meant to be stress-free and the BEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE!

My newest obsession is finishing my leg sleeve tattoo! So far I am 16 of the 30 hours total it will take!

Matt took the time to get to know myself and my wife. During different times of preparing for our special day, we got to know more about each other. I could see the passion he has for his work and wanting to make others happy as well as make their vision come to life. He was patient, caring, attentive to our needs throughout our special day which allowed us to have special moments together as husband as wife but also have a great experience working with someone who is extremely talented and knew what they were doing. I can never thank him enough for the experience and hard work he put into working with us.
Matt was “The Perfect Experience”
Wow, where do I begin! First off, we booked an engagement and wedding package to get comfortable behind the camera. My now-husband and I aren't always great at taking photos together but Matt made us feel so comfortable and played music during the Engagement shoot. Matt was able to capture all the joy and love of that day! Now the photo-quality is amazing but Matt was amazing to work with too. He was very easy- going but organized and really listened to what was important to us. He even asked several times if we had any questions and made sure to ask what other special things we wanted to get photographed so he wouldn't miss anything. We seriously loved working with Matt and couldn't recommend him any more!
