I want to first off say CONGRATULATIONS and I can’t wait to help you find your dream spot to propose here in Nashville, TN! There are so many beautiful locations in and around the city that make for a perfect place to get down on one knee and ask your best friend to be forever 🙂 Take a look at 10 of the best places to propose in Nashville!
1. Downtown Rooftop
Proposing in downtown Nashville on a rooftop is hands-down one of the best places to do it! With Nashville being such a busy place with people at every turn, heading up to a rooftop provides a sense of peace and privacy. The picture below is where I proposed to my now Fiancé on top of a parking garage in downtown Nashville!
2. Radnor Lake State Park
If you are looking for a place that is even more secluded, then Radnor Lake State Park is your place! Just 15 minutes outside of downtown Nashville, this is a place that offers more of a nature vibe if that is what you are looking for rather than the city. The picture below is a proposal I photographed that takes 5 minutes to get to from the parking lot. It doesn’t get much better than this!
3. John Siegenthaler Pedestrian Bridge
The pedestrian bridge is a staple in downtown Nashville and is one of the most beautiful places to visit whether you choose to propose here or not. It offers a great view of the skyline in the background so you definitely can’t go wrong proposing here. Parking is very accessible but the only thing I would say is it can get quite busy on weekends! This photo was a proposal I photographed on a weekday and I made sure to tell people that a proposal was happening so that the space was clear for them when they arrived!
4. Arrington Vineyards
Another great location just outside of the hustle and bustle of Nashville is Arrington Vineyards! This place is PERFECT if you are looking for plenty of options to choose from and privacy! I would highly suggest proposing here in the summer on a weekday to avoid crowds on the weekends and also the vineyards will be fully out by then! There are also short walking trails that are great to propose in if you are looking for a forest vibe! I photographed both of the below photos at Arrington Vineyards so choose based on your preference!
5. Cheekwood Estate & Gardens
If you are looking for the ultimate nature and privacy, Cheekwood is your place. While there is a $300 fee to photograph here, it is by far one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen in Nashville. You have the entire grounds to yourself and if you go in the summer when all the flowers are blooming, this place is perfection. Take a look at this beautiful proposal below that I photographed here last year!
6. Belle Meade Plantation & Winery
If you are looking for more of an upscale and classy place to propose, Belle Meade Plantation & Winery is going to be your spot! It has some of the nicest and most taken care of lawns I have ever seen and offers so many different spots to propose! The photo below is a proposal I photographed here where they typically have wedding ceremonies!
7. Centennial Park
One of the biggest parks in Nashville, Centennial Park is an incredible place to get down on one knee! On the top of my head, there are over 10 locations you could propose here and every single one of them is beyond gorgeous! Once again, if you want your proposal to look the best, I would recommend doing it in the summer when all of the flowers are blooming!
8. Natchez Trace Parkway
Right outside of Nashville sits Natchez Trace Parkway Bridge which is one of my favorite places to photograph couples. I would recommend proposing here 30 minutes before the sun sets because golden hour out here is AMAZING! You will not be disappointed driving out here to propose to your best friend!
9. War Memorial
Situated in downtown Nashville, the War Memorial is truly magnificent to photograph look at, and also propose! If you are looking for a unique place for your proposal, this is it! The incredible architecture of this building is unlike any other in Nashville and will certainly be a place that people will ask you about when you post photos! The War Memorial is usually not too busy and parking can be found at the various parking garages close by for a small fee.
10. Belmont Campus
The Belmont campus is one of the prettiest spots in all of Nashville. The way they manicure their lawns and make them seem perfect makes for one of the best places in the city to propose. The tall buildings also make for an amazing background and it’s usually not too busy! Since it’s a campus, there are several locations available but my favorite is the buildings along Wedgewood Avenue.
And there you have it! I would like to be one of the many people who wish you a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS on getting engaged! It is one of the most special times in life that should be filled with happy memories and lots of love! I hope this guide helps you in planning your DREAM proposal!
