One of my favorite elopements this year was this Blue Lakes Breckenridge Elopement. Stephanie and Mitchell decided on Blue Lakes just because of how GORGEOUS it is. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen with my own two eyes and that’s saying something! Stephanie and Mitchell came in from the midwest. After traveling to Colorado together for the first time, they knew this was where they wanted to tie the knot.
Breckenridge is an AMAZING place to get married for SOOOO many reasons! It offers not only the views but also some of the best restaurants in the town. My fiance and I had breakfast and dinner from their local shops and couldn’t ask for anything more. Breckenridge also offers some of the most stunning small and large AirBNB’s depending on your guest count! Stephanie and Mitchell decided to marry themselves which is TOTALLY awesome and legal in the state of Colorado!
They got ready in their AirBNB which had a guest house connected to it that we got to stay in for free! The Airbnb was only a short 15-minute drive to Blue Lakes which was great! Just something to keep in mind, the dirt road to Blue Lakes is open seasonally and is a bit bumpy! They eloped right around 4:00 which was PERFECT timing for golden hour. I always like to tell my couples that getting married more towards golden hour for the absolute best photos possible!
After they eloped right on the lake, we hiked up to the waterfall and took some of the most stunning pictures EVER! I would say this is a must place to hike too if you have time! You can see the entire like from up above which was almost as good as the view from down below! We finished up right around blue hour and smiled the whole way back to our AirBNB just knowing this was one of our favorites we have ever been apart of.
